Can Curt Fifth Wheel Hitch for GM Rail Kit be Adapted to Fit Above Bed Rails

Question:
I have a 2021Chevy 2500 with the puck system. Love my Curt hitch but looking at a 1500 sierra with 3.0 diesel. Is there a converter to go from puck to rail without getting too tall. Trailer is only 7000 pounds so truck is plenty strong.

Hey Ben, what Curt hitch do you have specifically? There is probably a leg kit you could swap your hitch head on to that would allow it to fit into above bed rails. But in order to pick out the correct above bed rail kit I would need to know the year/make/model of your truck so you can comment below with that info and the hitch you have and I can help further.

I have the A25 Curt. Haven’t bought different truck yet. Looking at new GMC 1500 , crew cab,4x4, 3.0 Duramax diesel. Currently have 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500, Crew cab, 4x4 standard bed.
