Hello Jeramiah, thanks for reaching out. That sucks to hear the weld nuts broke loose, but this can happen with older cars when the frame gets rusted out. It definitely makes things harder, but it is still possible to install a trailer hitch. What you'll need to do it fish wire new hardwire into the frame from a different opening and then out through the hitch's mounting hole. I've linked a video of the process. You would just need to source a few appropriately sized spacer blocks from a local hardware store.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

Hey Jeramiah, did you have a chance to try the fish wire method for installing your hitch on the Honda? I'm asking because your experience could really help others dealing with similar rust issues.
