Do I Need to Transfer Anything from My Demco Stay-IN-Play to My New Coach?

Updated 05/19/2025 | Published 05/14/2025

Question:

Hi, I currently have a Stay-N-Play braking system installed on our 2014 Honda CRV. We are purchasing a new Entegra Vision motorhome to replace our existing Fleetwood Flair, and my question is, do we need to install a device in the new motorhome that communicates with the braking system in the car? I cant remember if anything was actually installed in the Flair that does the job. Thanks for your input.

Hello Gary,

The Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # SM99251 only installs in the towed vehicle. This system works when your brake lights are activated on the coach, if your coach had air brakes instead of hydraulic then it would have components installed in the Entegra. Since you have hydraulic brakes, you are good to go.

So where is the first trip in the new Entegra? Congrats by the way too!!

Thank you Kate. I’m glad to hear I don’t have to add anything to the new motor home.
