Question:
I have a pop in ball in 2015 Ram 2500 and can’t get it to come out . Any help would be appreciated. I have sprayed with rust penetrating oil and have the release working.

Hey William,
I can't imagine that is fun to deal with! The most common thing causing that is corrosion or dirt/rust build up. You're on the right track, I have found using a penetrating lubricant on the base of the ball and the frame where is sits and letting it soak in helps. You can also get a flat head screw driver or pry bar around the base to try and gently pry it out.
There is also a chance the frame is damaged causing that ball to be stuck. I would recommend checking the area around the ball and frame to see if there is any damage preventing that removal.
If you are still having issues removing let me know what specific setup you have and I can keep digging for you.

Nick, Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried as you suggested with no success. he ball will rotate so not a damaged mount, I see a plastic plug in the bottom of the ball. Would it help to take it out and spray up from the bottom. It will probably break the plug to do so.
