Question:

I see you make a 3 season patio door assembly for toy haulers back door. I want to do this or something similiar to my 7 x 12 cargo conversion camper.

Hi John, That sounds really cool! Let me see if I can help you make that vision come true.

The patio kit you mentioned, part # LC27FR, is actually the only full "patio kit" we carry — but I’m afraid it might be a little too wide for your 7x12 cargo camper. Most of those trailers have a ramp door that's about 6.5 feet wide, and the Lippert kit is sized more for the big toy haulers.

We don’t have a direct-fit kit for your setup, but I did some digging, and you can convert your existing ramp door into a patio. You’d just need a "conversion cable kit" to hold the door level, and then you could add a removable railing system. The big thing here is making sure your ramp door can handle the weight, always better to double-check that before you invite friends out onto your new deck, right?

If the DIY life isn't for you, MORryde makes an inflatable patio setup called the PatioEx so you may want to check those out.

Sorry I couldn't provide any real parts for you to make your patio dreams come true! I would still love to hear what you decide. Feel free to comment below to stay in touch!

Hi John, did you have a chance to explore the conversion cable kit or the MORryde PatioEx for your cargo camper? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others looking to create a similar setup.
