Question:

I am installing the Roadmaster 4-diode Universal wiring kit RM-15267 on my 2015 Jeep that has a 4 prong plug trailer wiring already installed. it appears that it has what appears to be a kit with diodes in the taillights already. Do I proceed and add the diodes supplied with my new kit, aslo?

Good morning Rick; it's hard to say without seeing a pic or knowing where those diodes and wires are going. If you can send a pic back to the email you receive this answer from, I can help you out.

That said, I usually recommend using a custom fit 4 way flat harness like T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118416 for your trailer wiring, and then use the kit you are already referencing for the flat tow setup # Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267.
The custom 4 way plugs directly into the 2015 Jeep Wrangler's taillight connectors, while the diode kit splices in and works flawlessly together.

In your situation, if you currently have a universal 4 way flat trailer wiring harness with diodes, then it's tricky and hard to say if you should install the flat tow harness which also uses diodes. It should work fine, because they SHOULD be just preventing feedback to the vehicle and RV and I don't foresee any issues.
