Today we're reviewing part number CAM55197 from Camco. This is their power grip RV temporary power cord extension. It comes with a carrying strap, and I'll show you that in a moment. This is a 125-volt 50-foot extension cord. The female end, this one, plug into your RV and then the male end plugs into the 30-amp receptacle. You have built in handles on both plugs as you can see and Camco recommends that you use the handles to pull the plug out of the receptacle. Then to carry it you do have this very hand, let me put this down here so you can see it, very handy carrying strap. Once you've coiled the cord up just simply snap the buckle closed and then here's your strap for carrying either to take it into storage or to move it to another place, so it's very easy to transport. You also have bright yellow coloring on the plugs and that makes it easy to see these even in low light. And there you have it for part number CAM55517, the Camco power grip RV temporary power cord extension with a carrying strap.

Carrying strap helps with storage and transport. My 5 star rating is for etrailer They stood by their price match guarantee. There was a big difference in price and the honored it with the 110% refund guarantee. Thank you! I haven’t used the cord yet but it’s just a cord. Should work like any other cord.
Good quality product. Cable sheath is soft material and easy to unroll and roll up. Both connectors are solid and appear built to last!
Seems to be a well-constructed cord. Handles make it easy to unplug. Carrying strap is a nice addition.
Excellent quality extension cord and the handle is a practical feature. I went for the 50-footer just to make sure I'll have enough reach to power wherever I go or to set the generator farther away from the trailer. If you don't need that much length, a 25 or 30-footer will be much lighter. etrailer.com was fast and efficient with the order and they added a personal touch by sending e-mail updates.
High quality heavy cord, great product

Very nice plugs with good flexable power cord. Excellent product at reasonable price.
great quality, heavy duty cable. It stays flexible in cold weather also for as big of wire it is.
LOVE THE HANDLES ON THESE CORDS! MAKES THE CORDS A LOT EASIER TO SEPERATE THEM. GREAT PRICE AND FAST SHIPPING

This product is answer to my dreams. Have a 37' Pace Arrow which had a 3.5k generator which was only capable of running one a cat a time. Generator died and I quickly found out generator repair people are rarer than Amish electricians. Bought a 7k generator and was arranging to pay an electrician to wire it in to rv when I discoveees this incredible connection. It twists in to 120/240 outlet on generator and accepts 4 prong rv cord. GREAT!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Turned on both ac's for first time since I owned rv, (over 10 yrs). Within mins rv was cool and I have enough power for another rv. This thing is great. I highly recommend to anyone with an rv with a small generator or generator in need of repair, go buy a 7k running amp generator and this plug and you're set with plenty of electrical power. Also, the quality and durability of this part is suprisingly amazing. You can easily run over this plug with your rv and not phase it. BUY ONE. This will be the best rv purchase you can make. Thank you ETRAILER for a great product worth twice the price easily. Will be ordering another one for a friend soon. 5??

Just received the adapter and haven't had a chance to use it yet. But I've wanted one of these for a long time now as the 50 amp plug sticks straight out from the receptacle. Always thought this was a dumb design as it puts a lot of stress on the plug and cord. The prices are starting to look more attractive so I decided to bite the bullet and get one.

The elbow connector is doing it’s job. Much easier to connect to the side of our travel trailer than the straight cord connection that came with it. Extends the original cord by 2 feet and relieves the stress on the connection on the side of the trailer. Working well

This does all that I hoped for. It’s a solid connection to the 5th wheel. It doesn’t torque the connection with the weight of the cord sticking straight out,

Really like this pigtail for my Solitude S- Class 3640GK . The one thing I did not like about the cord Grand Design sends with its units is that there is a lot of pressure on both the outlet and the plug as pictures will show . Only thing I would suggest is the the plug be all black

Hello etrailer. I rate the RV power defender and locking cable we recently purchased at 5 stars each. As a beginner RV owner, I was looking for something that was simple to understand yet confident it would do the job. The Camco 30amp Power Defender was the perfect answer. In fact, my wife and I are currently sitting at our campsite and I’m looking at the unit that shows the surge protection is on and the 30 amp campsite wiring is correct.

This adapter relieves the tension of a heavy 50 amp cord coming straight out of the connector on the RV, thereby prolonging the life of the cord end and female connector on the rv. Good quality.

This fixes what Grand Design didn't - relieving strain on the plug on the coach from the weight of the 50 Amp cord. Thanks, Camco. And . . . etrailer rocks!

I don’t know what your problem is with shipping these days but as the saying goes”it ain’t what it used to be.” I used to get my orders in 3-4 days from the day I ordered. Now I’m lucky to get it in 8-10 days. I have a order in now that I paid over $7.00 extra to have it in 3-5 days . We’ll it’s been 10 days and I still don’t have it. I need a refund on my extra shipping. I’m not complaining about the item, just the shipping.
