Using the BW45SR, do I have to pull a lever to back up my 5th wheel?

Hi Barb,
No, you do not have to pull the lever every time you back up your 5th wheel with the B&W Companion Slider hitch. The handle is just there to operate the slider feature, which lets you slide the hitch back about 12 inches when you need extra clearance for tight turns — like maneuvering into a campsite or around a corner. Once you’ve made your move, you lock it back into the “tow” position and you’re good to go.
So unless you’re doing some tight cornering, just leave the handle alone and back up like normal. Way easier, and your arms will thank you. Shoot me a question down below if you have anymore questions! I am happy to help.
