Will PullRite SuperGlide Work with Rota-Flex Pin Box?

Updated 04/28/2025 | Published 04/18/2025

Question:

We have a F350 2021 6.75’ with oem puck. Our rv has rota flex pin box. Is this pullrite auto slider a good choice? Your website says it fits our vehicle but is it suitable for our rota flex pin box? If not, what would be a good choice? We would prefer auto slide since I can be forgetful!

Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out!

The 16K PullRite SuperGlide # PUL43RR is a great option for your 2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty and will work just fine with your Rota-Flex pin box as long as you use their Quick Connect Capture Plate. The right one just depends on the width of the skid plate on the underside:

- 13-3/8" Wide # PUL26RR
- 13-5/8" Wide # PUL38RR

I definitely get the whole automatic sliding thing - I would hate to damage my truck because I forgot to undergo the whole process with a manual slider.

Is there anything else I can help you out with to get your truck and trailer ready for RV season?

Thanks. Does having to use a Capture Plate defeat the purpose of having a Rota flex pin box, in that it locks it in place and prevents the rotation/cushioning etc that the Rotaflex provides? If this is the case then what other choices do we have for a hitch if we want to keep the benefits of the Rotaflex?

@Jason Great question! According to the PullRite document, the pivoting feature of your Rota-Flex will not be affected, so you'll still get that benefit!

@JonG Looks like the other sliding hitch you sell that would fit our setup is the Demco 18k DM8550024. Is there a difference in quality between these two? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each relative to the other? For example, is one lighter than the other, easier to hook up, quieter operation, less chucking, etc? The Demco has an adjustable height range (15-1/2", 16-3/4", and 18-1/4") but it looks like the PullRite does not and has just one height of 17.5"? How can we work out what the ideal height for our truck and trailer would be? Are there some measurements of the truck/trailer we can take to work out the ideal height for us? Thanks

@Jason The PullRite # PUL43RR weighs in at 216 lbs while the Demco # DM8550024 weighs 305 altogether so it's significantly heavier. Both of these hitches have been giants in the towing industry and have been compared many times over the years. Basically, the Demco has the height adjustability, but the PullRite is lighter and it has a sliding system that's more durable since it uses "funnels" for the hitch head as opposed to gears that turn the head the right way. You should be able to adjust the pin box height on your 5th wheel so if you can get your rig close to level with the 17-1/2" height then I'd say go with the PullRite. If you need the range of adjustment that Demco provides then you'll want to go with them instead.
