Updated 09/15/2025 | Published 04/14/2025

Question:

I am buying an Aurora 26BH. I relize it is over kill, but if I wanted to investagate a Lippert auto leveling system. I have a couple questions. I want to know how much weight it will add to the trailer? I also was thinking of taking a trip to montana at some point over the summer. if I came to you could you install the system for me? I am also thinking about installing a Timbren suspension system. I would probably do this at the same time.

Hey Erick, the Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System # LC672136 weighs in total right at 450 lbs. We can do installs here so if you wanted to set that up you could contact customer service for that when you are ready 1-800-940-8924

We can also do the Timbren kit at the same time.

OK. I am also interested in replacing the suspension with the Timbrlen independant suspension. This will replace the standard axels. Can you tell me how much weight, if any I will save replacing the axels with the independant susension. Can you give me a quote for your professional install for both of these upgrades? Erick

@Erick Timbren Axle Less kits weigh about the same as a standard axle suspension setup. It's hard to say exactly what the weight difference would be but it wouldn't be significant either way. To get an install quote though you'd need to call the number I mentioned above. There's a good chance the install portion would be free.

@JamesonC OK. Thank you! I am purchasing the RV this next week. I plan to park it in my friends yard for about a month and live in it before I start making trips. I am expecting to buy my tow vehicle in that time period. If I manage to buy the tow vehicle in May I will be making short trips through June and July before I make a cross country trip. So with delays I expect I may be doing this in the fall. Erick
