What Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter do I Need for My Lippert 0516?

Question:

I have a 2012 WPF 38 RLS Work and Play Forest River it has been converted to a goose neck hitch. I would like to change it over to something like this with an air type cushioning device. The info on the pin box are 019-000309341, item number 217631. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Kyle,

Thank you for the pictures! I reached out to Lippert to get your Pin Box number and they informed me that it is a Pin Box that is no longer made, and weren't much help on a different one that will fit. In my research I found that it might compare to the Lippert 1621, but the only way for you to be sure is to measure the bolt holes (as you cannot believe everything you read on the internet, shocking I know). I attached an image with what the measurements should be.

If things do line up, the the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - 22,500 lbs # RP59KR that you were looking at would be the correct fit for you, and would be an excellent upgrade to your current set-up.

Please let me know what measurements you come up with.

My pin box width is only 8”, compared to the other being 12-12.5”.I don’t think this will work.

@Kc Hey Kc, with the 0516 being discontinued I am going to need to reach out to the manufacturers to see if something will work in it's place. When I reached out to Lippert they told me they did not have a replacement, I am hoping that Gen-Y of Shocker has a different answer for me. I will let you know as soon as I hear back. I appreciate your patience.

@Kc Hey Kc, I am sorry but I do not bear good news. I got responses back from the manufacturers and they do not have anything that is going to work with that pin box number. I would find a local RV/Trailer dealer or a local fabricator about putting new brackets on your 5th wheel that will support a different pin box number. I am sorry that I do not have a better answer for you.
