Can Cam Style Baggage Door Latch be Replaced with Slam Latch on RV

Question:
I have a 2021 Grand Design Imagine XLS 22RBE travel trailer and I am considering to attempt to upgrade my baggage door locks from the standard cam style to a slam latch. I was looking at the Bauer lock and trying to find a video or information on if this is possible and or feasible and was not successful. Would you have any information, recommendation or links to help with this research? Thanks, Mark

Hey Mark, I found a couple articles online that said it should be possible by just making some holes bigger but I was not able to find a walk through or guide on exactly what to do. I would think a mounting plate style lock like the part # GL34FR would make the most sense since it would be easier to attach the two pieces on either side of the door.
