Question:
Hi I have a 1984 chevy pickup 1/2 ton 2wd that was converted into a pickup bed trailer and Im wanting to put electric brakes on it. Is there a conversion to allow me to do just that without putting a trailer tube axel in? Thanks Lee

Hello Lee, thanks for reaching out. There is no conversion kit made for this, so you best option would be to replace the pickup axle with a trailer axle. This will likely mean new tires and wheels too.
We offer axles that may work for you, but I would need to know more specifically what weight capacity and length of axle you need. Axles are measured across from hub face to hub face.
For example, the # e83SR axle has a 95" hub face measurement and comes fully loaded with brakes and 8-lug hubs.
If you can tell me what kind of weight capacity and HF length you need I am happy to look into it and see what we can offer.

Hey Lee, did you get a chance to measure the hub face length and figure out the weight capacity for your trailer axle? Once you have those numbers, I can help narrow down the best fit for your converted Chevy bed trailer.
