Is there a Front Hitch for the 2021 Grand Cherokee? How Can I Transport My Luggage?

Hello Keith,

I do have a solution for you, but unfortunately, there isn’t a front hitch available for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

To help transport your luggage, have you considered a roof rack system? I’ve attached a picture showing the different roof styles for reference. If your vehicle has a naked roof, the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 # TH29FA would be the right fit. For flush-mounted rails, you would also use # TH36TG.

From there, you could pair it with either the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket (Steel, 69" x 40" x 6", 150 lbs) # TH859XT-8591XT or the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box (16 cu ft, Matte Black) # TH615.

I’ve also included some review videos for you to check out. If the basket or cargo box dimensions don’t quite fit your needs, let me know what size you’re looking for, and I’d be happy to provide alternative options.

Hey Keith, how did the roof rack setup work out for carrying your luggage on the Grand Cherokee? Your update could make it easier for others deciding between the cargo basket and the rooftop box.

Roof rack requires climbing onto car or ladders. Looking for a front mounted approach for a cargo basket so that I don't have to climb.

@KeithA Do you have a hitch on the rear? Since there isn't a front hitch available for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you could go with the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop/Rise - 10K # 325-GH-313. I really like the Gen-Y adjustable ball mounts because it just gives you stacked receivers. You could then put something like the 39x25 Inno Cargo Carrier with Removable Cargo Box for 2" Hitches - 11 cu ft - 110 lbs # IN94MR in the top receiver, then still be able to tow from the bottom. Are you towing with the Jeep, or just looking for extra storage? If I know your set-up a little better, I can suggest parts that will fit your needs =)
