Hey John.

With you needing a 7-way, the correct part depends on whether or not you need trailer brakes. If you do, then I suggest # ETBC7. This will plug into the 4-way provided by # C62VR and gives you a 7-way and 4-way socket. You then have to wire a ground, battery line, and circuit breakers. A brake controller like the Redarc # RED52VR will go well with this setup.

If you do not need trailer brakes then take a look at # C57672 which plugs directly into the 4-way and gives you your running, brake, and signal lights. You still need to run a ground plus any additional circuits for your use case.

What will you be towing?

@JohnJ Okay sweet. So, you don't need the brake controller or the ETBC7. The # C57672 is all you'll need. Now, if your boat trailer has an electric reverse lockout solenoid then you'll have to connect the yellow wire to the vehicles reverse light circuit. This will prevent your surge brakes from applying when backing up.
