Can Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit LC281281 Be Mounted On The Inside Of The Frame?

Question:

Good morning, My question is Im installing a Lippert shock kit on my Colman 244BH, the side without the slide is no issue,however the side WITH the SLIDE is the question ? how do we deal with the Slideout side since theres slide stuff on that side,Please help !!!!! Thank you in advance .

Hello John, thanks for reaching out. If the slideout side of your camper has obstructions on the outside of the frame, the # LC281281 can still be added. What you can do in this case is just flip the U-bolt mounting bracket around to have the hole for the Shocks of # LC281281 to connect to and then just mount the upper bracket on the inside of the frame. The only negative of doing this would be that the shocks aren't as close to the wheel to absorb the movement, but that probably wouldn't be that noticeable of a difference.

Thank you Jesse,I really didn't want to cut into the belly pan letting air,water and all the highway junk under the belly pan,but we build circle track race cars so I'm going to fab some brackets and make both sides match, thank you Jesse I didn't know if Luppert had different brackets I could use

@John No there is only one type of bracket for these shocks. As long as you can make both sides match you will be good to go and you will still get the benefit of the shocks.
