Hello, My trailer door opening measures jam to jam 26 1/2 inches, will this work for me?

When you say jamb are you measuring from flange to flange, which would be the narrowest part of the door opening? The MORryde StepAbove RV Steps with Strut Assist # MR45RR requires a 23-3/4" to 24-1/4" wide flange spacing in order to fit.
