Can You Use the Viking Solutions L-E-Vator Portable Hoist w/ Winch to Get Mobility Scooter in Trunk?

Question:
Have you known this elevator product for hunting used instead for lifting s small mobility scooter into a car trunk? Im the scooter user. It comes apart four pieces, each maybe 20, 40, 25 and 50 lbs. I just cant lift that much or unload them with my strength.

Hello Pat,
Yes, you can most definitely use it to get the pieces of you mobility scooter into the trunk of you car. The unit itself weighs about 28 pounds, I am sure you will need to load the unit into the truck as well to be able to get the pieces in and out at your destination. So yes it will work, but I might have a different better option for you.
Have you thought about doing a cargo carrier with a ramp like the Flint Hill Goods # FHG69ZR. This way you could just put it up the ramp, might be a little easier for you and then you won't have to lift the hoist into your car. The cargo carrier will require for you to have a 2" hitch receiver on the back of your car. If you do not have one and are interested in this option, please send me your year, make, and model so I can find the right hitch for your vehicle. I attached a review video for you to check out.
Please let me know what you think about the other option, I know it cost quite a bit more but it will be worth it in the long run.
