How Loud Is The Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner System

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/10/2025

Question:

Does Furrion chill cube make a 13,500 btu ductless a/c? If so, what are the inside dB levels on high and low. I am comparing the chill cube with the RecPro 13,500 btu .

Hey Randy,

I haven't been able to fully test the decibel levels of the Chill Cube yet since it's below freezing here so I can't fully stress test the unit. I shot the installation video for the # LC54DX last week in our bays it was roughly 60-70 degrees. With the unit on turbo mode, which is the highest fan setting I could still talk at normal conversation level while standing right under the air distribution box. We tricked the compressor to kick on by running a heat gun near the temperature probe and even then it was still drastically quieter than any other RV air conditioner I've ever seen.

Once it warms up we're going to do a full stress test/comparison video for all of the AC units we offer, but I think if noise level is a big factor for you then the Chill Cube is the solution. There is a ductless air distribution box for this system with part # LC44DX but there currently isn't a way to connect the furnace to the Chill Cube's thermostat. They're working on a harness that would plug into the air distribution box for this purpose, but it's looking like it won't be available until the end of March 2025. If you're wanting a full ductless kit then you'll need part # FR27TD.

I recommend checking out my installation video below to get a better idea of how loud the unit is and if you have any other questions just let me know in the comments below and I'd be happy to help.

Hey Randy, I'm curious if you ended up trying the Chill Cube after seeing the installation video. How did the noise level compare to what you expected? Your feedback could really help others deciding between the Chill Cube and the RecPro unit.
