What Is The Best Towed Vehicle For A 30' Motorhome And What Do I Need To Tow It

Question:
What is the best Toad. We have a 30 Foot RV. I heard flat towing is easiest but which vehicle can take that without being damaged? Please also tell me best flat towing towing equipment. Thanks, Lois

Hi Lois,
The Jeep Wrangler is by far the most popular flat towed vehicle and can double as an overlander/off-roading vehicle as well. To figure out the correct components for the Wrangler we'd need to know what model year you get as there are different fits and requirements over the years.
Another important factor is the front bumper. The easiest option is to stick with a factory plastic or metal bumper but if you're wanting to add in a winch or other accessories there are some manufacturers that make aftermarket bumpers that are rated for flat towing.
Let me know if your motorhome has air brakes or hydraulic brakes and the model year of the Wrangler you get and I'd be happy to figure out all the parts you'd need. If a Wrangler isn't the right fit for you let me know what kind of preferences you have and I can try to see what other vehicle checks all the boxes.
