Question:
2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 5.3l with towing package. I got the U bolt over the frame and under the brake lines. I cannot get the brake line hold down back in place because they are resting on the U bolt. I am concerned about them moving and wearing through due to this contact. What can I do to fix this?

Hello Phillip, thanks for reaching out. Obstructions from the brake lines is fairly common for these air bag kits. There is really no workaround for this unfortunately. You are correct that you don't want the brake line moving around while you drive. The only option will be to relocate the brake line hold down. There are no specific instructions for this so you will need to get creative. I know this isn't the most helpful thing ever, but you will need to come up with a way to keep the brake line in place.

Hey Phillip, how did things go after you relocated the brake line hold down on your Silverado with the air bag kit? Your update could make it easier for others running into the same clearance issue.
