Hey David! To find the right Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box we have to identify your current pin box. If you can email me a picture of the sticker on your pin box I can reach out to Lippert and have them identify it. You can also add that information in the comments below (you can't add pictures but you could type out what is on the sticker).

The other thing we need to find the right Gen-Y pin box is the GVWR of your trailer. It looks like that is 14,495 lbs for the 2024 Brinkley Z 2900. Based on that information you will need a 4.5k tongue weight model. For example, if we find that you have a Lippert 1621 bolt pattern you would need the # GY38FR and for a Lippert Rhino # GY33GR.

I also recommend using the following formula to make sure you will have enough clearance:

(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from center of gooseneck opening to truck cab
B = Distance from center of coupler to trailer nose
C = Width of trailer divided by 2

Assuming you have the prep package it would be a good idea to use an offset ball like the # GY43XR for additional clearance.

Hey David, were you able to find the sticker info on your Lippert pin box so we could confirm the right Gen-Y model for your Brinkley Z 2900? Knowing that would lock in the correct fit for your setup. Your update could make it easier for others switching from a fifth wheel to a gooseneck.
