Question:
I have a 2006 1Chevy Winnebago Motorhome. Its on a 2006 Chevy Workhorse chassis. It has a 7 pin trailer connector in the back when towing. I recently needed to use the 12 volt positive to connect to the tow vehicle. The 12 volt pin on the connector has no power. I did some research and found that when built the chassis did not come with the 30 amp fuse to power the pin. I have installed the 30 amp fuse in slot 50 and also replaced the 30 amp mini fuse in slot 13. I tested both fuses before installing them and they are good. So my question is what am I missing here to get the 12 positive to power up?

Hey Bob, so not every vehicle has the 12 volt accessory wire circuit active on the 7-way. It actually really common for it not to be active. Trying to track down the OEM way to activate this circuit becomes pretty tricky and can be time consuming. Instead I would recommend bypassing all of that and just run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) through a breaker like # 9510 straight to the battery and you'll eliminate all guesswork. Is that something you'd consider?
