Is it Possible to Add Strut Assist to Morryde StepAbove Fold Down Step

Question:
I have the second version MR Step Above removable steps, is there a torque assist setup available to add on? If not can the unit be purchased separately , so I can fabricate it myself? I have the 4 step model which is way to heavy for me and they now sit in the garage. Thanks, ,

Hey Ed, so MORryde doesn't offer a way to add the strut assist to their StepAbove units that do not come with it. BUT since you said you'd be open to fabricating something there is maybe a way to modify the setup and add the lift assist strut from the Lippert SolidStep which is part # LC47UD. This would be our best option to have this feature added. Think you could make that work?
