Question:
I purchased the Thule T2 platform bike hitch. I have it installed on my car now, however we cannot figure out how to put the locking mechanism on the arm that locks the front tire we have it on the cable and the hitch attachment but the area that has the lock on the arm appears to be filled with plastic and Im having a hard time figuring out if there is some way to push it out or what Im supposed to do. I was hoping someone could help Thank you

I believe you are trying to install the lock core in the ratcheting arm of your Thule T2 bike rack, # TH9045. Is that correct? If so, there will be a small plastic insert in the lock core hole. To remove this piece, you can simply take a small tool such as a flat head screwdriver or knife and pry the piece of plastic out of the hole. I have attached a short video I made for you that shows how to remove this piece.
