Can this tank be used at a Gray water tank in a van build?

Hello Joanne, thanks for reaching out. The Valterra RV Water Tank # R8036 can be used as a gray water tank if you want to. You may need to add your own fittings, depending on what kind of setup you are doing. Also, you may want to consider installing the tank at a very slight angle so that water can flow towards the drain. The bottom of this tank is flat, unlike most gray water tanks.
