Question:
I need to replace the motor kit on my ventline v2280-75 bathroom exhaust fan. It’s really loud and about 7 years old. Do you know what the sone rating is for this model and is there a replacement that is quieter?

Hello Kenneth, thanks for reaching out. To replace the motor in your Ventline v2280-75 bathroom exhaust fan you can use the Replacement Motor # VC0369-00. This is a 75 CFM motor. I cannot give you any specific numbers for the noise rating, but generally a new motor will be noticeably quieter than an old one, especially if the original is 7 years old. We do not hear any common complaints about the noise generated by these fans. Sure you will be able to hear it running while you are in the bathroom, but it should not be loud enough to make for any significant annoyance. I hope this helps and feel free to reach out and comment below if you need anything else.

Hey Kenneth, how did the new replacement motor work out for your Ventline bathroom fan? Was the noise level any better after the swap? Your feedback could help others looking to quiet down an older fan.
