Hello Richard, thanks for reaching out. The best way to attach a hanging bike rack to your 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 is to install a trailer hitch like the etrailer Class 3 Hitch # e35AR. This has a 2" receiver which opens the door to some great bike rack options.
