Are Extensions Available For Low-Point Drains To Avoid Crawling Under The RV
Published 01/06/2025 >
Question:
I am looking for an extension set to connect to my 1/2 low point drain valves so I dont have to crawl under the RV to drain it. 2-3 long or more. Suggestions?

Hey Art,
Low point drains are typically just PEX piping ran down to the underbelly of the trailer with a fitting crimped on to connect to the drain valve so there isn't a set extension already made up. We'd need to see what type of material the manufacturer used for the drain pipe and how it's connected to the valve to see how to add on to it.
This will likely require you to cut open the corrugated plastic they use to line the underbelly. If you do have to I usually cut three sides of a square shape in the plastic so I have a flap I can close and seal up afterwards. I'll cut little slits on the flap and surrounding plastic and then run zip-ties through the slits to stitch the flap back closed and then rub some RTV sealant over the cuts to fully seal it up and prevent bugs or rodents from entering.
If you want to send me some pictures of your setup I can take a look and see what you might need.
