Updated 01/08/2025 | Published 12/26/2024 >
Question:
TN83ZR Are these lights rated for salt water? I have a Robalo 227R and would like to use these as bow lights. Boat is used 50/50 fresh/salt water. Where are the lights made?

Hey Michael,
Sorry for the wait, I've reached out to TecNiq to see if they have a salt spray rating for the LED Boat Docking Lights # TN83ZR and still haven't heard back from them (most likely because of the holidays). I did see on their site that they list this light as having an IP68 rating. The IP rating system measures a device's resistance to dust and water ingress, with IP65 being the bare minimum to withstand saltwater conditions. An IP rating of 66 or 67 would be for heavy spray or potential submersion so with this light being a 68 you would have superior salt spray protection.
TecNiq lights are designed, engineered, and assembled in the Galesburg, Michigan. If you have any other questions just let me know and I'd be happy to help.
