I have a 2012 mini cooper S convertible and would like to put this hitch on for the purpose of a bike rack initially or a cargo carrier. Will this work for me and will I need anything else for the install. Thank you

Hey Shannon,
The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH47FR would be compatible with convertible models but you'll need to have the center-mounted dual exhaust in order for it to fit. You'll need some standard tools to complete the installation, but one tool you might not currently own is a torque wrench # ALL944001. You can pick one up from us or your local auto parts chain will typically have a free tool rental program you can utilize.
If you want to connect lights to your bike rack or cargo carrier then you'll also need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 to transfer over your light signals.
