Question:

I need a weight distribution/sway control hitch for an EZ Loader boat trailer with surge brakes. 7500# gross at. 1000# tongue weight. The trailer has a straight tounge and is aluminum. Thanks.

Because your trailer is a straight-tongue or pole-tongue trailer, you will need a pole-tongue adapter like # RP58393.

For a weight distribution system, I recommend Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution with Sway Control part # RP66561. This system is compatible with a pole-tongue adapter and with a surge coupler. The system I recommend is effective on trailers with tongue weight ranging from 70 - 1,400 lbs. I have included a link to a FAQ article on finding a trailer's tongue weight.

If you need a hitch ball with 2" diameter and medium shank I recommend part # A-90.
