Can Stainless Steel Hinge Be Used on Aluminum Trailer

Question:
hello, Is it ok to use stainless steel hinge on an aluminum frame trailer ? would it be subject to galvanic corrosion ?

Hey Mathieu, it's generally not a problem to use a stainless steel hinge on an aluminum trailer but if you wanted to never worry about galvanic corrosion you'd just need to use an isolator to prevent contact between the two metals. We use gardening plastic for this here because it's cheap, easy to find, and very reliable.
