Solution for Locking Cabinet on 2024 Interstate Airstream 24GL

I just bought a 2024 Interstate Airstream 24GL. The wooden storage cabinets in the coach all feature a metal push button latching mechanism Clancey. Do you sell locking latch that I can buy to replace one of those push buttons? In short I want to lock one of my 24GL cabinets and it seems like getting a locking button would make the most sense. Clancey directed me to you. Do you sell a locking mechanism for those cabinets? If not, can you recommend another vendor?

Hi Steve; we don't have any kind of push button latch lock you could replace the existing latch with and I'm really not sure if anyone out there does. To find one you would also need to have some dimensions like the door thickness and size of the hole. What you might want to do is reach out to Airstream and find out who makes that latch. You could see if they also have a locking version.
If you can't find one I have two possible solutions. The first is to cut an extra whole and add a cam lock like # 37200155. The other option would be to add the old reliable hasp like # H135-203E with # H115-204E and use a padlock # 131D.

Hey Steve, did you end up finding a locking latch that fits your Airstream cabinets, or did you go with the cam lock or hasp setup instead? Knowing what worked could help others trying to secure similar storage spaces.
