Will The Lippert Gooseneck Connect Fit A 2009 Keystone Raptor Toy Hauler

Updated 11/18/2024 | Published 11/17/2024

Question:

I have a 2009 Keystone Raptor 35’ to hauler that has a Lippert 1116 pin box. I need a Lippert gooseneck pin box to replace it with, but don’t know the part number for a direct replacement. The only one that I have seen so far is 2020043670, but there is no comparison/compatibility chart

Hi Aaron,

The Lippert Gooseneck Connect is designed to fit the Rhino bolt pattern so it wouldn't be a fit for your Raptor unfortunately. We do have a two other options to choose from though. The first option being the Shocker 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pinbox # SHK55MR, which utilizes an air spring and bumpers to absorb road shock.

The second option would be a Gen-Y gooseneck pin box, which uses the same torsion technology as an axle to help absorb road shock. With this you would really need to determine what your fully loaded tongue weight is in order to pick the correct capacity. With your trailer being a toy hauler that number can drastically changed depending on the toy you're hauling. I've attached a diagram showing which capacity you'd want to go with depending on the tongue weight.

Of the two I prefer the Shocker Hitch # SHK55MR since the air spring is going to be easier to adjust to fine tune your towing experience as the weight changes in the trailer.

Is what you are telling me is that trailer doesn’t carry a gooseneck pin box WITHOUT all the fancy suspension? If so, which model style/shape Gen-Y pin box 5500lb would be recommended?

@AaronG That is correct, we do not offer just a standard gooseneck pin box to fit the 1116 bolt pattern. Are you saying that your tongue weight falls between 3,600 - 4,599lbs and would need the 5,500lb capacity pin box? If so, you'd need the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY73FR and some safety chains # GY49GR.
