Can Curt Friction Sway Control Be Installed 28" Back On Aluminum Trailer

Question:
Can you install at a little longer than 2 ft where you drill the plate on to the trailer. I want to mount at about 28” Also it’s an aluminum trailer is that okay to mount to?

Hello Brant; the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems # 17200 has to be installed at 24" as indicated in the installation instructions. This can be installed on an aluminum trailer but we always recommend contacting the trailer manufacturer to make sure they approve installation on the aluminum frame.
