Troubleshooting Locked Up Towed Vehicle Brakes

Question:
I have a roadmaster tow bar with the air brake. Controller for my toad I hooked up toad and as soon as I release the air brake on my coach the brakes on the toad lock,? What is wrong Any help would be appreciated thanks

Hey Greg,
If your towed vehicle brakes are locking up when you let off the brakes in your motorhome then your supplemental braking system is not installed correctly. Which specific supplemental braking system do you have and what is the year/make/model of the towed vehicle?

Hey Greg, did you get a chance to check which supplemental braking system you have and how it’s connected to your toad? Once you have that info, I can help figure out why the brakes are locking up.
