Can Both 7-Way and 4-Way Be Used at Same Time on Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector

Question:

I have read your Q and A about the using both of the sides at one time and the manufactures said it would not work because the doors will not open far enough to accommodate both. But if you were to remove the doors is there power running to both sides with a 7 way and a 4 way installed?

There is power running to both sides at the same time on the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector # HM40975. However, using both at the same time could result in over drawing power which could lead to blown fuses, electrical fire, accessories not working and so on. It is not recommended so use caution.
