How to Find the Transmission Fluid Return Line on a 2011 Honda Odyssey
Updated 05/30/2014 | Published 05/29/2014 >
Question:
Which line is the transmission fluid return line on a 2011 Honda Odyssey? Is it the upper line that is attached on the transmission housing or is it the lower line? The Honda illustrated parts images just labels the lines as Pipe A ATF and Pipe B ATF. Does it matter which line the cooler is connected to? Thanks for any info or pictures

Expert Reply:
A transmission cooler must be attached to the transmission fluid return line. They are designed to supplement the radiator or factory cooler, so you will want the fluid to go through the radiator first, then through the cooler. We have not had a chance to install a transmission cooler on a 2011 Honda Odyssey, but we have installed a cooler on a 2014 model, which is the same generation as your Odyssey, and the return line was the lower line. You will also connect to the line above the frame support.
I attached our installation video for you to check out that shows which transmission fluid lines to use.
