Replacement Jack For A 2004 Ranger Reata VS180 Boat Trailer

Updated 10/30/2024 | Published 10/29/2024

Question:

Hi, I own a 2004 Ranger Reata VS180 that has a original Fulton Magnum series trailer jack. The jack bolts onto a welded on trailer frame mount on the trailer. I am trying to figure out which replacement jack fits the bolt pattern for this Ranger boat trailer. How do figure that out? Jeff

Hey Jeff,

Does your Fulton jack have a swivel mount like the # FXP15L does where you can pull a lever and turn the entire jack to get it up out of the way? I've attached a picture of the # FXP15L below as well showing it with a welded on mount instead of using the clamp mount. If this is the case you can swap out just the jack and keep using the same mount welded to the frame.

You'll need to remove the snap ring with some pliers and can then pull the jack off of the mount and measure the tube's outer diameter so we can see what it fits. Most likely the tube will be roughly 2-3/8" in diameter and you'd be able to replace the jack with the Fulton # FTJ120W0301.

There's also the probability that you have a bolt that's roughly 11/16" thick that comes off the welded mount and through the mount on the jack and is held in place with a nut. If you have this style jack then you can swap it out with part # FXP10W0301.

If your mounting style is different then let me know and send me some pictures and I'd be happy to help look for the correct replacement.

Hey Kevin, Wow amazing fast response!!! Boats in storage so need to go over and take a picture. It is a lever pull swing up out of the way but not exactly like that one. I'll run over there tomorrow and take a picture. I'll also measure the extension. Do I just copy and paste the image in the chat? Jeff L

@JeffL We don't currently have a media option with our chat feature so I'll send you a separate email for the pictures.
