Looking For 6-Lug Wheel With 5-3/16" Bolt Pattern For Old Homemade Trailer From 1970s

Question:
I have an old flatbed trailer that I made in 1977 from an older chassis of a house trailer likely from the 1950s or older. The rims have 6 bolts with a pilot of about 4 1/4 and a hole pattern of about 5 3/16. At one time I remember searching for a pair of wheels and found that hay wagon wheels from the local farm dealer fit. At this point I have all four wheels very badly rusted and would like to replace all of them with new tires as well. I did not see anything matching the hole pattern on your site. Please advise.

Hello John, thanks for getting in touch. We do carry a lot of 6 lug wheels, but nothing with a 5-3/16" bolt pattern. All of our 6 lug wheels have the standard 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern like the # AM20535 which is universal for 6 lug trailer wheels. A lot of older trailers use parts that are now obsolete, and it sounds like this is the case with your wheels. You may be able to find something used/secondhand, but we do not offer anything compatible. The best solution I can offer would be to have a welder attach new spindles for you, or replace the axle entirely with something more modern.
