Hello Kyle, good question. The Cerakote is a ceramic coating that helps reduce wear and corrosion. It is a very thin coating that can increase the lifespan of steel, aluminum or whatever else it is applied to. This kind of ceramic coating is most commonly found on firearms, but recently Weigh Safe has started using it on certain ball mounts since it offers way more protection than the standard aluminum. It looks cool too.
