Hello Richard. Thanks for reaching out. I do have an option for you, but there is unfortunately no direct bolt-on gooseneck replacement for the Fabex 730 pin box.

The best option will be to use the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY38FR. In order to use this, you will have to drill a few holes in the brackets to match your trailer. As long as you only drill the necessary holes and do not drill a bunch of extra holes you will not void your warranty on the pin box. This kind of work is best done by a professional. Keep in mind you will also need the 1/4" filler shims # GY76FR.

Another option is the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100 which will bolt on to your king pin and will allow you to connect to a gooseneck hitch. I generally try to avoid using this kind of adapter unless there is no other choice. If you are ok doing a bit of drilling, the # GY38FR goosebox will be the best option.

Hey Richard, how did things go with the Gen-Y gooseneck pin box on your Coachmen Catalina? Were the drilling steps manageable for your setup? Your update could make it easier for others working with a Fabex 730 pin box.

@JesseMtook it to friend with welding shop, he drilled holes, installed proper bolts with lock nuts, also drilled hole the stem inserted bolt thru that so stem could not swivel at all.

@Richard Perfect! Sounds like that shop did a solid job making it all work. Thanks for taking the time to share! Have a great Christmas!
