Which RoadActive Suspension Enhancement For 2000 Ford F-250 2WD With Top Overload Spring

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 09/30/2024

Question:

What is the difference between the RAS partRAS3611-HD and RAS3611-SLHD? I have a 2000 F250 2WD with an overload leaf on top of the leaf package. The 3611-HD indicates removal of top overload springs. The 3611-SLHD indicates is intended for vehicles with factory top overload springs. Just a little confused on which part to purchase. Thanks!

Hi John,

So you're actually going to have to remove the top overload spring of your 2000 Ford F-250 because they physically occupy the same space as the RAS. I checked directly with RoadActive for you, and the correct part for your truck is actually the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-LHD.

This kit includes spacer plates that you put back at the axle so that you will have the same U-bolt thread. As for the # RAS3611-SLHD, it has extension brackets that are only needed on 2011 and newer F250/F350 applications, which is why that's not the right one for your 2000 F-250.

Hey John, how did things go with the RoadActive Suspension kit for your F-250 after removing the top overload spring? Knowing how the fit turned out could help others with older trucks choose the right setup.
