Does Size Of Pilot Hole Matter When Mounting The Tire

Question:
What i have now on a little dude boat trailer measures 2.5 inches for the pilot hole will it matter if the kenda is 2.80 4 lug

Since the tire/wheel is not being held onto the trailer by the hub you should have no problem with the Kenda tire/ wheel combo, part # AM30540. This is held in place with the 4 lugs and not the pilot hole.
