Troubleshooting A Lippert Leveling System That Won't Retract

Updated 09/27/2024 | Published 09/24/2024

Question:

Hello, I have been having an issue with my leveling system on my 2007 Winnebago Sightseer 35J. After taking and paying the subject matter experts, i was told i needed to replace the whole system. It was a waste of time and money. Since then, I have rebuilt the power unit. I replaced the hydraulic pump, confirmed the motor is good, replaced all 2-way solenoids along with the 4-way, 12-volt solenoid, and also replaced all coils 9. The system was working fine until it wasnt. Once I replaced, all the aforementioned parts I seemed to have lost power to the touch pad. I replaced the 4-way solenoid last I didnt have it yet but the system had power and was acting the same where the jacks wouldnt lower. Ive reached out to Winnebago for help on the fuse/relay location for the leveling system but they are no help. Next is either the touch pad or the pressure valve sensor. Any help or direction will be great. My model for the touch pad is 906900407 with a 4-pin connector and Auto Mode Button. I have the Kwikee Hydraulic Power Unit model M-3536-0101 / Part No 2020023. Best, Wilivaldo

Wilivaldo, if you've already replaced all of of the other parts to your leveling system, and you've verified that you don't have power going to the touchpad, then you need to check your wiring first and make sure nothing's damaged. If the wiring is fine, then you're going to need to replace the touchpad with # LC68UD.

Any idea on the fuse or electrical junction box location for the leveling system? I’ve checked everywhere and can’t seem to find one. Also, your part suggestion is different than the one I have. There are currently 4 wire connections on my touch pad as opposed to LC68UD’s 2 connections. Is there a wiring harness adapter sold with LC68UD? Simply buying LC68UD will be useless as it is not compatible with the wiring setup I have on my touch pad 906900407.

@Wilivaldo That's strange, there should be 4 35 amp fuses located on the controller itself. Also it looks like the original touchpad has apparently has been discontinued. You might be able to reach out to Lippert directly and they may be able to send one out.
