Question:

We have a 2021 Thor 26B. The tail drags on driveways. Need drag wheels Any ideas?

Hello James, thanks for reaching out. We do have a few options for skid wheels that could work on your 2021 Thor 26B.

The first option to look at is the Ultra-Fab Rotating, Hitch Mounted Skid Wheels for RVs # UF48-979014. These clam to the crosstube of your trailer hitch, so if your RV is equipped with a trailer hitch with a 2-1/2"x2-1/2" square crosstube, these are an easy add on that will work great. There are also the # UF48-979018 which will work with a 3"x3" crosstube.

If these will not work for you, a more universal option like the Ultra-Fab Steel Jumbo Roller for Trailers and RVs # UF48-979023 will be your best bet. These can be welded on to pretty much any steel portion of the back end of the camper, so you can just find the best spot and take them to a welder.

Hey James, how did things go with the skid wheels on your Thor 26B? Did one of the Ultra-Fab options help keep the tail from dragging on driveways? Your update could make it easier for others with the same issue.

I have a 2025, Vegas 26.2 class a motorhome and my driveway has a crown drive street and it is very difficult to pull into my driveway without dragging on my stabilizers. How can I fix this?

@MichaelD A bolt-on or weld-on skid wheel is what I recommend. Something like the Ultra-Fab Steel Jumbo Roller for Trailers and RVs # UF48-979023 is a great option as long as you can find a good mounting location where they can hang down past the stabilizers.

This will not work or anything else and I do not want to weld the larger wheels because the wheel rubber will eventually break off. I have already large skid steel U shape on my motorhome hitch. I’m gonna have to use ramps to drive up into my driveway and down thank you for your response.
