Hello Vincent, thanks for reaching out. We do have a great option for replacing your Carrier model 68RV0010 KA AC unit. For that I recommend the Advent AC item # ACCAR135 for 13,500 BTU or item # ACCAR150 for 15,000 BTU. These units come with an adapter kit that makes it directly compatible with your carrier AC system. So all of your vents and thermostat will stay in place and work the same. You will be replacing the rooftop unit only.

Hey Vince, how did the swap go with the Advent AC replacement for your Carrier unit? It sounds like keeping your vents and thermostat in place made things easier. Your update could make it easier for others replacing older Carrier systems.

Jesse M, I have a model 68RV0010AA unit in my travel trailer. I don’t have a wall thermostat or anything just the knobs on the unit. My motor is starting to squeak and can’t find a replacement for it. This is the 2nd post for the ACCAR135 I have seen. Do you have a direct link for this unit and would it need the adapter as well? Thank you

@JaysonM Hey Jayson. That ACCAR135 kit is an older part number that has been discontinued. You can still install an Advent AC unit in your trailer, but there are no longer any plug-in options. You'll have to replace the rooftop unit and distribution box. Here are the part numbers for that: - Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 13,500 Btu - White - R32 # ADV23SR - Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV32SR

@JesseM Do you have a compatible unit that I could install a wall thermostat to make it where the blower fan isn’t constantly running? An I noticed none of the specs mention noise decibel levels.

@JaysonM No, we don't. The fan is designed to run all the time. That way the AC unit can pull air up onto the temperature sensor which is what tells it when to kick on and off. This is actually industry standard for RV AC units. Also, according to Advent, the noise level directly at the AC is 67 dB. For reference, 60 dB is about the noise level of conversation,
