Can Pollak Complete Assembly 2-Pole Connector - Flat - 18 Gauge Wire Handle 15 Amps
Published 08/27/2024 >
Question:
The video says the connector is 18-gauge wire and is rated for 15 amps. To be rated for 15 amps, it should be 14-gauge wire. Can you confirm that this is really rated for 15 amps by the manufacturer? If it is not, please change the information available online. Thank you.

Hey Armond, this is a great observation and I would agree with you that 18 gauge wire is not normally ideal for 15 amps but it really depends on the length of the wire and the temperature. At this short of a length the part # PK12200 can handle 15 amps but if I was going to extend the wire I would go with a heavier gauge.
