Recommended Replacement Actuator for a Titan Model 60

Updated 01/27/2026 | Published 08/21/2024

Question:

My trailer hitch is a Titan Model 60 and is now bent as a result of jackknifing it last spring. How much trouble is it to replace it? And could I get by without the surge brake feature?

Jan, not much trouble at all. You can use the Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T47457007K to replace your Titan Model 60. This actuator has a bolt on design, so you'd just need to unbolt your current one and bolt the new one on.

Hey Jan, how did the replacement go with the Dexter brake actuator for your trailer hitch? Sharing how the swap turned out could help others dealing with a bent Titan Model 60.
